Home Theatre

True Theatre, IN Your Home
You are here because you already know what you want.

What you don't know, is what Hine Smart Homes can do.

We invite you to tell us about your vision for your entertainment sanctuary.

There are few physical limitations. Give us some room to play, and we'll blow your mindhole.

Strictly professionally, of course.
Elite Home Theatre Seating
A BC company
You're spending the money on a dedicated, personal theatre - you want custom seats, not a box store couch; come on now.

Sure, in theory this is just a place to stump your rump, but a true home theatre is an experience. It's better than the dedicated 100+ seat theaters. So if seating didn't matter, then put the kitchen stools in there and call it done.

Seating. Does. Matter.

There's no point to the rest of it, if you are uncomfortable the whole time you are watching your favorite movie.

These will complete your theatre - without them, your theatre may as well not have seats.

Dolby Atmos
In a bespoke home theater, the shift from traditional surround sound to Dolby Atmos is the difference between hearing a movie and feeling like you are living inside of it.

While standard systems move sound around you (left, right or behind), Dolby Atmos introduces a 3D hemisphere of audio that includes height and precision "object-based" positioning.

Traditional systems use channels (5.1 or 7.1). If a sound is meant to come from the left, the mixer sends it to the left speaker.

Dolby Atmos uses Audio Objects. Instead of assigning a sound to a speaker, the filmmaker assigns it to a position in 3D space. The Atmos processor in your theater then decides, in real-time, which combination of speakers to use to place that sound exactly where it belongs.

The most striking difference in a boutique installation is the addition of overhead speakers. With traditional surround, the sound stays at ear level. A helicopter flying overhead sounds like it’s circling the room at the height of your head. With Atmos that helicopter actually sounds like it is 10 feet above you. You can hear the rain hitting the roof or the rustle of leaves in the canopy above.

Atmos creates a "seamless" soundstage, enabling sound panning that you didn't even know you were missing. In older systems, as a car drove from the front-left to the rear-left, you could often hear the sound "jump" from one speaker to the next. With Atmos, because it uses object-based metadata, the sound moves fluidly across the walls and ceiling. The transitions are invisible, creating a perfect bubble of sound.
1) Acoustic Treatment
2) Room Calibration & Correction
Most people have never even heard of room calibration or correction and have certainly never heard the difference that it can make in a professional system.

In a professionally designed theatre of any size, acoustic treatment is a requirement. If you are trying to achieve satisfactory levels of SPL while still maintaining excellent sound, you need to capture all the unwanted frequencies that are bouncing around the space.

To do that, we need to absorb that sound energy. There are a multitude of design options that are visually appealing in addition to serving a purpose.
The end result? You, completely immersed in the experience, thoroughly enjoying the entertainment, not noticing or giving a single thought to anything else.
